And she shewed her mother in law with whom she had wrought, and said, The man's name with whom I wrought to day is Boaz.

Ruth was then nearly fifteen years old, and this was Jesus’ first opportunity to have long talks with her since she had become a young woman.

Questi sposarono donne di Moab, delle quali una si chiamava Orpa e l'altra Rut. Abitavano in quel luogo da circa dieci anni
And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.
Rut andò e si mise a spigolare nella campagna dietro ai mietitori; per caso si trovò nella parte della campagna appartenente a Booz, che era della famiglia di Elimèlech
And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.
Allora Rut si prostrò con la faccia a terra e gli disse: «Per qual motivo ho trovato grazia ai tuoi occhi, così che tu ti interessi di me che sono una straniera?
Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said to him, "Why have I found favor in your sight, that you should take knowledge of me, since I am a foreigner?"
16 Ma Rut rispose: Non pregarmi che io ti lasci, e me ne ritorni indietro da te: perciocchè dove tu andrai, andrò anch’io, e dove tu albergherai, albergherò anch’io; il tuo popolo è il mio popolo, e il tuo Dio è il mio Dio.
16 And Ruth answered, Intreate mee not to leaue thee, nor to depart from thee: for whither thou goest, I will goe: and where thou dwellest, I will dwell: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.
Questi sposarono donne di Moab, delle quali una si chiamava Orpa e l'altra Rut.
These married Moabite women: one was called Orpah and the other Ruth.
Rut 2:4 Or ecco che Boaz venne da Betlemme e disse ai mietitori: «L'Eterno sia con voi!.
4 And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be with you.

Se lo caricò addosso, entrò in città e sua suocera vide ciò che essa aveva spigolato. Poi Rut tirò fuori quello che era rimasto del cibo e glielo diede
And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed.

Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city.
Allora Booz disse: «Quando acquisterai il campo dalla mano di Noemi, nell'atto stesso tu acquisterai anche Rut, la Moabita, moglie del defunto, per assicurare il nome del defunto sulla sua eredità
Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
Così Booz prese Rut, che divenne sua moglie. Egli si unì a lei e il Signore le accordò di concepire: essa partorì un figlio
So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.
Salmòn generò Booz da Racab, Booz generò Obed da Rut, Obed generò Iesse
And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
